Anders Lund Hansen is Assistant Professor of Human Geography at Lund University. His research interests are political economy/ecology of space, accumulation by dispossession, land grabbing, urban politics, social geographical change, build environment, gentrification, alternative urbanism, new media / film (the latter work is published in the web based journal liminalities.net).
His dissertation, Space wars and the new urban imperialism (2006) was awarded a Wallander Foundation Stipend (PhD thesis award), which funds his post-doc research on new Asian urbanism. Lund Hansen has published in leading journals (Political Geography, European Planning Studies, Geoforum, Urban Studies), and is co-editor of David Harvey: the new geography of uneven development (in Swedish, Atlas, 2011). He was editorial coordinator for Geografiska Annaler (Wiley/Blackwell) for three years and is currently steering group member of Christiania Researcher in Resident (CRIR) and elected committee member of the International Critical Geography Group (ICCG).
